The Double Whistle

Let me start by introducing myself. I'm a Canadian high school referee operating under the FIBA ruleset, with slight modifications made by the regional basketball governing body. I have refereed approximately 785 games in about eight seasons.  I'm starting this blog because I love basketball and I like talking about it. Since I've started refereeing this sport, my appreciation for it grew considerably. It forces you to think differently about something that - in my case - you played, coached, watched and loved basically your whole life. To be quite honest, I'm still not 100% positive on what I intend to do with this blog. I just know I have an urge to talk about basketball all the time and I have very few people in my life - except fellow referees - with whom I can talk in very specific details who will actually share my enthusiasm.
